STOP SEWING CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING. CHART

MACHINE CONDITIONS

TEST-REMEDY

SYMPTOM

MAIN SWITCH __Pull to Start ~ Set the voltmeter to the SD volt de scale. Connect the negative probe to ground or 14Z and the positive probe to 9Y. The CLAMP TAB LE __ Back

meter should read 24 volts de. This cir- cuit must be broken when Length switch is held open; then.the voltmeter read- ing will drop to zero. If circuit is broken and start sewing solenoid is still energized, replace the main circuit board. If voltage stays at +24 volts de, check prax. sensor and cam settings. If prox. and cam settings are correct, refer to timing adjustment .sectionr replace timing P.C. board located behind main circuit board and below thread pick-up board • .. @ Set the voltmeter to the 150 volt ac scale.

Connect the probes between 15Y and TP33. If a reading of 1.15 volts ac is ob- tained, the circuit board components are good. If not, replace the circuit board.

® Set the meter to the XlO ohms scale. Connect the probes between 13Y and TP33. If a reading of approximately 30 ohms is obtained the stop sewing solenoid is good. If not, replace solenoid.

Check for continuity through bulb be- tween 15Y and 13Y. Meter should read ., appr~ximately 10 ohms. 1~ not, replace with.good bulb.
