. PATCH LOADER MOTOR BRAKING When making the following adjustments, set the Control Panel switches as follows :

Main ... . Selector . . . Clomp Safety Loading •.. Loader Sew . Clomp Clearing Fingers • . . .

Braking is used to instantly stop the rotor as soon as the motor hos been de-energized. This prevents overthrow of the Patch Loader Arm when reaching its rest pas ition . With Clamp Table al I the way back, momentarily press Knee _Switch. Release os· soon as the Patch Loader Arm has travelled a short distance. If there is any o ve rthrow or "gliding" of the Patch Loader Arm after the Knee Switch is released, adjust Patch Loader Motor Braking. TO ADJUST: 1 . Remove oi I cups and motor cover. 2. Press and release the Knee Switch while observ ind· action of rotor at point (P). 3. If there 0 is overthrow, turn the adjusting screw {Q) clockwise for more braking action. The downward movement o f the rotor should be approximately 1/64 of an inch when the Patch Loader Motor is energized. CAUTION: facessive braking wi II cause the Patch loader Motor to overheat and binding may occur.

When making these adjustments or replacing a switch, the Pump and Motor must be turned OFF. Proceed as follows:- ]. Send Clomp Table to its forward position. 2. Set Selector Switch to ELEC. position. 3. Turn Clamp Clearing Switch to BACK position. Clamp Table will not move be– cause of position of Selector Switch but the Clomp Table Travel Solenoid will be ener– gized permitting manual movement of the Clamp Tabl e. 4. Mo,:iually close Folding Brushes. 5. Holding Folding Brushes close, manually move Clamp Table to rear position. 6. Switch should actuate (click) when Clomp Tobie is 1/16 of an inch from its extreme rear position. TO ADJUST: Set swi tch position on Brocket by means of screws {M) . Obto in bock and forth setti ng of actuator by means o f screw (N ) . s
