Managing time doesn’t mean to squeeze as many tasks as you can. Its about simplifying how you work, doing things faster and relieving stress. Who Are you?
Chaos: Learned how to be successful doing things their own way but not on an organized way. Identify what makes you lose focus.
Focus: Is regularly frustrated by the inefficiency. Has it under control.
Complete most important tasks first.
The key is to identify the two or three tasks that are the most crucial to complete and do those first. Devote your entire focus to the task at hand.
This way your day will start with success and you can move on to other things.
Difference between Multitasking & Switch tasking.
Multitasking: Doing multiple tasks at once but they are related to the same outcome.
Switch tasking: Doing different tasks that aren’t related to the same outcome.
Learn to say NO
Committing your time with different tasks will lead you to failure. Only commit to those tasks that will fit your schedule. Decide if it’s a priority or not.
Schedule your time
Identify your best fit for a Calendar, Paper or Digital. (synch) Time budget, avoid double booking, Never commit to a task or appointment before putting it into your calendar. Check your calendar every morning an night to prepare for the day
ahead. Remember to prioritize. Reward yourself. Motivation.
Set a time limit to complete your tasks. The time constraint will push you to focus and me more efficient. Leave a buffer time between tasks: Take a break.
Processing: The act of deciding WHAT the next step is, When you are going to do it, and WHERE its home is.
Space & Mind
Space: Your workplace is your sanctuary. Organizing your space will increase your productivity and your time invested on each task.
Mind: A clear mind is a healthy & productive one. Focusing on each task is not easy when your mind is not at the right place.
Summary
Your productivity will improve It will be easier to do tasks you get assigned with. You will have more time. Work related stress will drop.
